Spark Medical Ltd Preceptorship Programme (Consolidation of Learning – CoL)
This course supports the structured consolidation of learning for newly qualified, returning-to-practice, and transitioning clinicians undertaking a 24-month preceptorship period with Spark Medical.
The programme aligns with national preceptorship principles and professional regulatory expectations, providing a robust framework for the development of safe, effective, and reflective clinical practice. It integrates supervised clinical experience, reflective learning, competency assessment, and formal milestone reviews at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months.
Learners are supported to:
-
Consolidate clinical knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours
-
Demonstrate safe practice within scope and recognise the need for escalation
-
Apply ethical, legal, and governance principles in real-world settings
-
Engage in reflective practice and continuous professional development
-
Progress towards confident, independent professional practice
Competency achievement is tracked through an individual Learning Plan, linked to the Spark Medical Preceptorship Portfolio Framework. Evidence is gathered through supervised clinical shifts, reflective submissions, CPD records, and structured review meetings. Competencies are verified by designated assessors, with clear attribution and audit trails.
This course provides the evidence base and governance structure required to support preceptorship completion, professional assurance, and ongoing development within Spark Medical.
